WGSL is a place where great friends are made, wonderful experiences happen, and cherished memories are created. 

We are one big family! 

We are the largest and oldest youth softball league in Wallingford and have been in existence for 47 years and this year we were voted by the Wallingford community as the "Best Youth Sports League in Central Connecticut"!!

We are a slow pitch league. In fact, the only one in the state of Connecticut.  Why slow pitch?  Slow pitch means more hits, less walks, more fielding, more action, and more fun. Slow pitch is a game for all ages and abilities. You will see more action at all the team positions, giving players a better chance at developing their skills. Slow pitch does not mean less competitive. In fact, our league offers very competitive divisions in a very non-intimidating atmosphere.  

We are community oriented and committed to empowering young women through more than softball.  New this year, we have created the opportunity for players to be on our Board of Directors!  This allows the players a voice within their league and will help to offer leadership and volunteering opportunities for our players!

We focus on the opportunity for every girl to learn what it means to be a part of a team.  Our goal for every player is to work as a team, build self-confidence, and have fun.  Every girl plays in every game and our focus is on learning the lessons that being on a sports team can teach you without the pressure of having to be the best player or a focus on personal achievement.
All of our games are played in town at our own private complex where the fields are maintained daily by league officials for great playability!

We offer four divisions that allow each girl 
to progress to more challenging play as they move through each level. We offer player Clinics, All-Star games, Alumni games, 
and a year-end Jamboree with softball competitions and other fun activities!
