2011 WGSL ALL- STARS!!

JR Division - West 22  East 10
It may have been muddy and cloudy on Sunday morning, but the stars were bright for both squads of the Junior Division!! In a slug-fest, the West Division came out on top with some great performances by many players. Alyssa Sarracini had 5 hits and pitched 3 solid innings while making some great plays on the mound. Sklyar Ullom and Cara Dominello both had 4 hits a piece. Soup Campbell, Mackenzie Ardito and Alyssa Matthews had 3 hits a piece. Hannah Cullagh, Gabby Fiedler, Jenna and Gianna Gannon, and Mia Syme also contributed with some timely hitting.  On the mound, Alyssa Sarracini, Cara Dominello, Alyssa Matthews, MacKenzie Ardito, and Hannah Cullagh all combined to pitch a great game. In the field Alyssa Matthews made great plays all over the field. Alyssa Sarracini made a great catch on a deep fly ball in Right Center. MacKenzie Ardito and Slylar Ullom played great behind the plate. The West runner- up MVP was Soup Campbell who not only had 3 hits but was sensational playing Shortstop like a pro and also made a great at third base. The West MVP was Brianna Hennessey. Brianna had a heck of the day going 4 for 6 with 3 RBI's and 5 runs scored!!! WOW... Congrats to Brianna and the entire Wild, Wild, West Squad!! Also.. Congrats to the East squad that made some great plays in the field and also hit the ball very well!! It was a fun day girls!!!
SR Division - North 14  South 13
In an exciting All Star game the South battled back from anearly deficit took the lead but couldn’t hold on for the win.  RebeccaMette earned the MVP for a good pitching performance and making a double play,She also batted two for three.  Paige Hogan earned game ball for battingfour for four and scoring twice.  Excellent game played by both teams.
